I've been hearing a lot about AI-powered ambient documentation tools — DAX Copilot, Abridge, Nabla, and others. The pitch is compelling: the AI listens to the patient encounter and drafts the note for you. A few colleagues have started using one of these tools and the reactions are mixed. Some say it's cut their documentation time in half. Others say the notes need so much editing that it barely saves time, and they worry about accuracy for complex visits. For those who've actually used these in practice: - Which tool are you using and in what specialty? - How much editing do the generated notes typically need? - Have you noticed any impact on the patient interaction itself? - Any concerns about accuracy that have come up in practice? I'm particularly interested in hearing from specialists — most of the marketing seems targeted at primary care.
